Violinist Yejin Byun masterfully captures the art and beauty of delicate and elegant tones while delivering her incomparably refined and sophisticated sound. She studied at the Central Music School of Moscow and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory where she graduated with honors. She continued her high level of excellence in performance and studies while earning both a master’s degree and an artist’s diploma, from the Hochschule fur Musik in Basel, Swizterland.
By an early age, Yejin had remarkably developed and demonstrated an exceptional ability and talent for which she earned several awards and achievements – 1st prize in Andrea Korsakov international competition, 2nd prize in DeMUCS international violin competition, 2nd prize in M.Abbado international violin competition, 2nd prize in Yampolsky international violin competition, and Prix Meilleur Duo offert par Ville de Lausanne.
After first debuting as a soloist at age 9, with Pyeongtaek Youth Orchestra, Yejin has performed with the Moscow Symphony, Kavkaz Philharmonic, Khabarovsk Philharmonic, Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic, Yaroslavl Philharmonic, Province Chamber Orchestra, Vladimir Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Camerata, Chamber Orchestra Moskovia, W Philharmonic, Chelyabinsk Chamber Orchestra, Ukraine Kharkov Philharmonic, Gunsan Philharmonic, Gnessin Academy Orchestra, Basel Symphony Orchestra. She has also accepted invitations and performed as a chamber musician in Zurich, Moscow, Piran, Milan, Lausanne, Istanbul, Salzburg, Basel and Seoul. Yejin was the Principal Second Violin of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland, and currently she is teaching in Pyeongtaek University as a adjunct professor and a leader of the Solid Chamber Ensemble, guest cooncertmaster of Korean1 Philharmonic Orchestra, member of Trio ARTISTRY.
