Violinist Gyehee KIM
Korean violinist Gyehee Kim has garnered international acclaim and recognition for her exceptional musical talents. Her recent triumphs include capturing the prestigious First Prize and Gold Medal at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition, solidifying her position as one of the foremost violinists of her generation. Throughout her career, Gyehee Kim has repeatedly demonstrated her exceptional skills, claiming First Prizes at esteemed competitions such as the George Enescu, Andrea Postacchini, Munetsugu, and Gnessin International Music Competitions. She is also a laureate of the Stuttgart, Torún, Isang Yun, and Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.
Gyehee's musical journey began at a remarkably young age, as she was awarded the Grand Prize at the Korean Chamber Orchestra Competition at just nine years old, becoming the youngest winner in the competition's history. The following year, she made her debut recital at the prestigious Kumho Art Hall as part of the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series. Since then, she has performed as a soloist with numerous renowned Korean orchestras, including the Korean Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic, Korean Chamber Orchestra, Daegu Philharmonic, and Gangnam Symphony, garnering significant recognition and acclaim in her home country.
Internationally, Gyehee Kim's artistic collaborations have been equally impressive, featuring performances with distinguished orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Stuttgart Philharmonic, George Enescu Philharmonic, Russian Symphony, iPalpiti Orchestra Ensemble, Torún Symphony, Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra, Pleven Philharmonic, Sudettic Philharmonic, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, among others.
Her exceptional talent has been celebrated through various honors, including being named Music Journal's "New Artist of the Year" in 2023 and receiving nomination for the prestigious "Rising Star Series" by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation in 2018. She has been invited as a guest artist to prestigious events and festivals worldwide, including the George Enescu Festival, Kronberg Academy, Moscow Meets Friends - The Grand Kremlin Palace, Mozarteum International Summer Academy, "Sundays Live" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Stars on Baikal, among many others. Notably, in 2021, she was invited to perform as a soloist with the chamber orchestra of the Novosibirsk State Opera Orchestra, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Republic Korea-Russia Federation diplomatic ties. Moreover, she contributed to the world premiere of Dan Dediu's "Triple Concerto" during the Opening Gala Concert of the 2020 George Enescu International Competition in Romania.
Gyehee Kim has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed musicians, including Christoph Badea, Yuri Bashmet, Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Hilary Hahn, Min Kim, Jamie Laredo, Hun-Joung Lim, Lena Neudauer, Nils Mönkemeyer, Christoph Poppen, Alexander Rudin, Eckart Runge, Soyoung Yoon, and William Youn, among others.
Gyehee began her formal violin studies at age 7 at the Pre-College division of the Korea National University of Arts, under the guidance of accomplished violinists Bonjiu Koo and Sunny Lee in Seoul. Subsequently, she pursued further training in the U.S.A. at Curtis Institute of Music, studying under Joseph Silverstein. She later earned her Bachelor's degree at Seoul National University, studying with her lifelong mentor, Young Uck Kim. Additionally, she recently attained her Master's and Meisterklasse degrees at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, under the guidance of Christoph Poppen and Lena Neudauer as a recipient of the prestigious DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship.
Pianist George Harliono
British pianist George Harliono was invited to make his first one hour long, solo recital at the age of nine and since then has performed in numerous locations both in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia, appearing at venues such as Wigmore Hall, The Berlin Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, The Royal Albert Hall and Chicago Symphony Centre. In 2023, he was awarded the Silver Medal at the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition.
In 2013 he was invited to record Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op.2 No.1 at the Southbank Centre in London. In 2016 his performance of Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 at the Great Hall of The Moscow Conservatory was broadcast live on Russian national TV and streamed live on Medici TV.
Since his concerto debut at the age of 12 he has been a regular performer with orchestras including the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, The Mariinsky Orchestra, Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra, New Millennium Orchestra of Chicago, Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Philarmonic Orchestra.
George also regularly performs alongside eminent artists such as Denis Matsuev and has worked with many renowned conductors including Valery Gergiev, Alexander Sladkovsky, Alexander Rudin, Evgeny Shestakov, Ainars Rubikis, Anton Lubchenko, Ken Takaseki and Sebastian Weigle.
George has been awarded prizes in numerous competitions throughout the world including The Grand Piano Competition in Moscow, Sendai International Music Competition, Royal Overseas League Music Competition in London, Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in Utah, Concourse International de Lagny-sur-Marne in Paris and Dinu Lipatti Piano Competition in Bucharest.
Most recently he performed Beethoven Piano Concerto no. 5 at Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow and Liszt Piano Concerto no 1 at the Frankfurt Alte Oper. He was also invited to perform a recital as part of the Duszniki-Zdrój International Chopin Piano Festival, one of the oldest and most important classical music festivals in Poland.
He studies with Professor Pascal Nemirovski (International Chair in Piano, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire) and has taken masterclasses with Dmitri Bashkirov, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Vladimir Ovchinnikov among others. George also works closely with conductor Alexander Sladkovsky who has taken a personal interest in his development as an artist.

George has just completed a BMUS Degree at the Royal College of Music. He auditioned at 15 years old and was accepted with a full scholarship. He was one of the youngest students to be accepted onto this course.
In 2018 he was shortlisted for an award in the ‘Sound of Classical Poll’ at the Classic BRIT Awards in London, which promotes the best emerging artists and ones-to-watch in classical music. In 2022 George was awarded ‘Best Guest Artist’ at the ‘440 Hz’ awards for his performance of Beethoven Piano Concerto no. 5 at Zaryadye Hall in Moscow with Musica Viva Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rudin.
